01 · The brief
A move was the opportunity to get the furniture right.
Mourant selected POS through a competitive tender to furnish its new Royal Chambers office. The scope included 185 workstations and more than 300 storage cabinets.
The brief went beyond selecting products. Desks needed to accommodate the IT installation, personal storage had to support the firm’s clear-desk policy, and delivery had to fit around the main contractor’s programme.
Develop the workstation
Combine height adjustment with accessible, integrated cable management.
Resolve personal storage
Design arrangements around the firm’s particular storage requirements.
Coordinate the move
Install the furniture in phases aligned with the wider construction programme.
02 · The spaces
Technology integrated into the desk.
Working with the client’s IT team, POS developed a bespoke version of Techo’s Lift sit-stand workstation. Sliding tops provide access to upper-mounted cable trays, keeping the installation accessible without leaving cables across the work surface.
Monitor arms and CPU holders complete the workstation. The details give each user an adjustable setting while allowing the IT team to reach the equipment and connections it needs to maintain.
In everyday use
Storage developed with the people using it.
POS worked with Techo’s Prague factory on a bespoke personal storage solution. Consultations, 3D visuals and technical drawings helped Mourant review and refine the arrangements before manufacture, supporting the firm’s clear-desk policy.

03 · Delivery
A large installation, delivered in three stages.
HÅG SoFi Mesh chairs were selected following comparison with more than a dozen alternatives. Comfort, adjustment, materials and durability informed the decision alongside the workstation specification.
Installation began in November 2017 and was completed in three phases around the main contractor’s schedule. Coordination between the furniture team and the wider works supported the client’s relocation within the available timetable.
