Privacy policy

Updated 20 October 2026

This notice explains how we handle personal information when you use posinteriors.com, contact us or discuss a workplace project with us. It also explains your choices and how to ask us about your information.

Who is responsible for your information?

POS Interiors is a division of Point of Sale Limited, registered in Guernsey under number 12154. Point of Sale Limited is responsible for information collected through this website.

For privacy enquiries, email hello@posinteriors.com, call 01481 740222 or write to POS Interiors, Unit 9, Anfre Estate, Route de la Garenne, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 2RL.

Our showroom at Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, Market Buildings, is a separate visit location. Please use the postal address above for correspondence.

What we collect

  • Enquiries: your name, email address and message. The Contact page also lets you provide a phone number and company name if useful.
  • Project discussions: contact details, correspondence, requirements and information you or your organisation share so that we can advise, prepare proposals and coordinate work.
  • Website information: technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and security events. Where you allow optional tracking, this can also include campaign references, advertising click identifiers and how you reached the website.

Please only share information that is relevant to your enquiry. Avoid including sensitive personal information or details about other people unless necessary and you are entitled to share them.

Why we use it and our legal grounds

  • Responding to you: to understand your enquiry, contact you and provide relevant information. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries or, where you are the prospective contracting party, taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • Providing services: to prepare and manage agreed work, communicate with client contacts and coordinate suppliers. The grounds are performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interests in delivering services to your organisation.
  • Running and protecting the website: to maintain reliable services, prevent misuse and investigate problems, on the basis of our legitimate interests in security and service administration.
  • Optional analytics and advertising: to understand website use and measure campaigns, based on the choices you make through our cookie controls.
  • Legal requirements: to keep records or disclose information where the law requires it.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Where we ask for consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.

How enquiries are handled

The website is hosted by Squarespace. Form submissions are stored through Squarespace and sent to our business email. Google reCAPTCHA helps protect forms against spam. Relevant enquiry details may be entered manually into our customer relationship management system so that we can follow up, record discussions and provide the information you requested.

You do not have to complete the form to contact us. You can email or call instead. If you omit the required contact details, we may be unable to respond.

Who receives information

Information is available to the POS people handling your enquiry or project and to service providers supporting our website, email, customer relationship management, business systems and security. Relevant information may also be shared with suppliers, professional advisers or project partners where needed to respond to your request, deliver agreed work or meet a legal obligation.

Our website uses analytics and advertising services described in the cookie policy. Links to other websites, including our other brands, take you to services with their own privacy notices.

Processing outside Guernsey

Our technology providers operate internationally, so information may be stored or accessed outside Guernsey. The protections available depend on the destination and provider arrangements. Where a transfer requires safeguards, these may include recognised adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

You can also read the website providers' information: Squarespace privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the reason it was collected. For enquiries, we consider whether the discussion is still active, the time since the last meaningful contact, any ongoing client relationship and whether a record is needed for a legal obligation or dispute.

Information that becomes part of a project, order or accounting record may need to be retained longer than an unsuccessful enquiry. Retention also depends on the applicable contractual, tax and legal requirements. You can ask us about the information we hold and request deletion where appropriate.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct it, have it erased, restrict its use, object to processing or receive a portable copy. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data protection law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Contact hello@posinteriors.com to exercise a right or raise a concern. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority in Guernsey. Where processing falls under Jersey law, you can contact the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.
