According to the British Institute of Interior Design, Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world. In 2018, the design community flocked to Clerkenwell with over 40,000 attendees and over 300 exhibiting brands which made it the perfect reason for POS to attend again this year.
During our 3-day visit, we had the chance to visit our key suppliers, including Boss, Flokk, Ocee Design & Autex, to see some of their latest concepts and products. We also took the opportunity to visit new suppliers, including Workstories, JDD and Deadgood, which add new novel options to our emerging portfolio.
There was a strong emphasis and continued trend in biophilia this year - the biophilia hypothesis suggests that humans possess an innate tendency to seek connections with nature - therefore by adding plants and greenwalls into the working environment, this helps people to feel calmer and more relaxed, which in turn improves productivity and wellbeing.
Resimercial design and products continue to trend well. What is Resimercial? When well executed resimercial design can have a positive impact on wellbeing, collaboration, ideation and overall productivity in the workplace. Rather than merely placing residential objects in a commercial setting, well-executed resimercial design is carefully customised for the needs of a specific business and culture and implemented with products and materials especially designed for the unique purpose.
Many of these concepts and products are on display in our showroom in Guernsey, please get in contact to arrange a tour of our showroom and see how they can be applied to form your prefect working environment.
