Together we came up with a beautiful environment that addressed concerns like acoustics, customer privacy and overall user experience for the staff and customers.
We built a bright stimulating reception area that welcomed all who entered. As you carry on through, the tone changes to slightly darker and private but still with a warm, comfortable feel.
The reception area uses a lot of white and feels alive but gives subtle hints of nature with wooden columns on the front of the welcome desk which softens the light and introduces a natural aspect to the space.

The journey continues on through the main client facing area where brokers can discuss private information with customers. Before the space evolved, client meetings were held in the open plan office. Everything was open, there was no privacy or no colour. Islands were incredibly keen to change this and inject some life and vibrancy into the environment.
To combat the issue with noise acoustic baffles and walls were used on each pod in order to absorb the sound and prevent it from travelling into the next booth. However, the top of the booths are open to make them feel more open while retaining their private nature.
There were blank walls dotted all over the office that lent themselves perfectly to being branded. We were given creative license to come up with designs that could be placed on the wall that was in line with the Islands brand but added some character to the interior. We saw this as an opportunity to beef up the acoustics by printing the artwork onto panels that absorb sound and help reverberation.
Overall the job went incredibly well and was received amazingly by the client who contracted us to make more changes to their other offices.
