Insurance Corporation - Refurbished

In early 2017 Insurance Corporation of the Channel Islands approached POS Interiors to design and fit-out their existing reception and boardroom facilities in Dixcart House, St Peter Port. The project was split into 2 phases and was managed around their daily activities to maintain business operations.

In phase one the design team were tasked with creating a modern reception to reflect their corporate identity, and provide dedicated meeting rooms adjacent to the reception for client meetings. Following design and building control approval, the project commenced with the installation of all new suspended ceilings with acoustic ceiling tiles. A mixture of acoustic drywall and double glazed partitions were then installed to form the new meeting rooms, which were complemented with Techo meeting room furniture.

In the reception area, a bespoke reception desk was manufactured in oak laminate with a Corian feature panel. Milliken Formwork carpet tiles were installed throughout the refurbished space with Milliken Light Trails installed as a feature around the reception desk. The POS projects team also managed the M&E fit-out which consisted of new air conditioning, electrical, lighting and AV installations.

For phase two we were tasked with sub-dividing a large private office to form a new dedicated boardroom and smaller private office. This involved the installation of new suspended ceilings, acoustic drywall and alterations to the client's existing partitioning to form new doorways into the newly created rooms. Ensa meeting room furniture was chosen for its beautifully finished polished aluminium leg frame and supplied in oak veneer, with mesh cantilever seating by Techo. In the new private office, the Ensa executive workstation featuring an integral side table with built-in storage was chosen to provide a high quality look and feel to the office and maintain continuity with the boardroom.
