Case Study

Gusto Espresso

When Peppe & Sabino approached us to talk about the Gusto empire expanding, we jumped at the chance! Gusto has become a much-loved restaurant in Guernsey and people can’t get enough of the delicious pasta and fantastic service.

Both brothers were keen to open a takeaway & coffee shop, so islanders can experience Gusto food, service, & excellent quality of Italian coffee & produce, whilst on the go. The brief was simple, create a beautiful coffee shop focusing on our bespoke craftsmanship & they would focus on the contents.

The previous business had moved out some time ago, so the shop was in need of a revamp. We re-built studwork walls, re-decorated throughout, and laid a new LVT Floor from Milliken which featured an intricate architect design detail across it. All new LED lighting and plumbing services were also installed, which was managed and overseen by our in-house contracts team.

The main feature of the shop features a beautiful bespoke counter that we designed and built in our workshop. The counter was clad with solid Oak timber slats, with each piece hand crafted & fitted to create a stunning feature. The counter tops were then finished in Gentas ZERO® PST (progressive surface technology) in a contrasting Black finish.  Bespoke scaffold pole shelves were installed for general merchandising and we also supplied a hand-crafted 'Gusto' neon sign in the window to add the perfect finishing touch.

We wish you all success, and know that customers will love the coffee shop just as much as they love Gusto. We were delighted to be involved in this project & look forward to popping in for an espresso again soon.
